I don't see the need to continue this particular discussion (on Isp, delta-v, etc.) I was merely trying to state a point that satellites are designed with an eye toward all life limited items expected to become depleted at the same time. I think you would agree with that, and I suggest we move on.

You sound quite knowledgeable about the communication aspect of the satellite. That is one place I know little about. I glad to see you contribute to the board.

Let's see... Goodboy made a statement that I* had stringent station keeping requirements. He's right. But, they are also smart people. They'll complete their lifetime even with the peak solar storm coming up. Just tossing in my $0.02

Now for what I really wanted to say. I got an information packet from Airtouch today. Packet is somewhat understated. They sent quite a lot of information. I had filled out a form on the G* website to request info about becoming a customer. I was glad to see that I got the packet from Airtouch and not from G*, and that the information was complete.

It estimated retail cost of about $1.50 to $2.00 per minute, and also stated I would be contacted by a distributor in the summer time frame to see if I wanted to buy a phone.
