Thall, My experience was with Paraho and the Superior Circular grate with an EC. Why did not the Unocal retort work. I always thought it fought the laws of physcics with rock rising and hot air going down. The other thing that is not well understood is that the oil was of low quality and required extensive hydrotreating which just added to the cost. Oh well, by the time it is needed oil will be replaced by something new. I totally reject the gloomsters of limits. Technology and free markets will provide abundant energy! Bob
