Ed,

There were a couple of other points in the call that I thought were important and were stressed by Ken H. His comments were also striking because to me they indicate a deeper understanding of high tech business and how it develops:

1. The Northern Trust Co. project - this was described as a very cooperative effort between Ancor, HDS, and Intelligent Solutions an Ancor reseller we discovered here about a year ago. All three, through their combined efforts were able to build a model installation that worked well. Leveraging these relationships might lead to more business than with either company alone.

2. CONSAN - he was "excited" about this based on his comparisons with early SCSI applications and how they were not "plug and play". He knew how CONSAN made custom RAID box applications 10 - 12 years ago and made them more salable to VARs. He clearly described the potential value of CONSAN doing this with SAN applications.

3. He emphasized "technical superiority" and "ease of use" of Ancor switches several times.

4. When talking about the competitive aspects of the business he said something to the effect: "If you ask our competition if they felt like we competed - you would get a resounding YES." and went on to say that the competition made them all sharper.

It seems to me these were the things we used to want Ancor to say and do. I appreciate the fact that they are saying and doing the right things.

George D.
