To clarify my earlier post; I don't think that the price dropped due to any defect of IDEC or BIG selling, instead I think that it was talked down by MMs and a lot of small (but still much bigger than me!) investers took their profits causing the price to slip. Once the price slipped enough and shares were accumulated a HUGE buy went through (70,000 shares with only a 1/8 bump in price?!), the price stabilized soon thereafter and started creeping back up again. I think that the MMs had this large buy order on their books but couldn't execute untill a price of 24 1/8. Actually, in a contrarian sort of way, I think that it is really a bullish sign that the big boys just went out and bought ~1.7 million dollars of IDEC stock.
I suppose that this could also be some sort of stock swap but I haven't a clue as to how to find out, at least untill the new stocksmart listings come out.
