Savant, re:"I cannot express my dislike for the local cable..." Hi Savant, I have yet to be convinced that the cable internet mass-rollout is going to work... Bell Labs and other garage-tinkerers-engineers-goipo types for the past 50 years have been tweaking that thin piece of copper, and getting amazing results.... I think they will continue to get better. Compartively speaking, they are just now getting cable into the lab and laying it on the table for a look. All that is an aside to the dislike I share with you of a competitiveless, lethargic, and truly unimaginative utility that may well be eliminated if the phone companies continue to exploit copper at the pace they have been for the last 10 years. Oh yeah, and eventually because of wireless, the phone company monopolies we know of today??... bye, bye. Just my opinion. Jon :)
