I'm going to give you a real friendly little word regarding Americans. As a Canadian, you probably know us better than any other nation, but even I'm not sure if you're aware of this...do not EVER underestimate us. And when you say we lack the balls, you are sadly underestimating us.
The key in our reaction would be our belief in the circumstances. If events were to happen to make our public genuinely believe in the rightness of a cause, you would see a radically changed people from the ones you have come to know for most of your life.
I'm not trying to be the spokesperson for all Americans or anything, but I know that I'm right on this. Even now, to watch us, it seems as though we're just going about our business as usual with no thoughts as to what is going on in Kosovo. The President goes to play golf, the people go about their business. But don't make the mistake of being fooled by that demeanor. Inside, where the world can't see, we are VERY much aware..and we're watching.
