Not trying to be rude or anything, I think you meant the other way around: will MSFT's IE run on Linux? The answer is yes. MSFT does have a UNIX version of the IE browser. And since it's using UNIX open standard, it should be portable to any most UNIX platforms without much problems. I don't know how well it would perform though on different architecture.

Actually, there are more than one browsers that can run on both UNIX and Windows. Sun's Hot Java, NCSA's Mosaic, Lynx, IE, Netscape should all be capable of running on both platforms. Browsers aren't hard to write. In turns of technology, I would rate IE and Netscape about even. I think both are very good and way ahead of the rest on the field. IE would not be a product that I would knock on MSFT, IMHO.


Will LINUX run on MSFT Browser? Thought Netscape was the only Browser that would support both MSFT and UNIX
