There's a sort of tranquility that your posts convey to me. I quit the threads in the past because I started just fighting with people (especially Daniel, imagine that).
I took Lao-Tse (aka Lao Tzu) as part of my pseudonym because I strive for that ideal. Of course, the Bob part is meant to convey my inescapable identity as a product of my culture. And on the subject of culture, American culture may be pervasive, and I think that's part of the problem that other countries have with it, but I can't help but think that the essential shallowness and homogeneity of American culture is what makes it acceptable to so many palates, and unsatisfying and empty to so many others. But I digress. Endlessly.)
Anyway, it's refreshing to see a gentle and informed voice here. Thanks.
