Mark, do not buy Avid yet, unless you want to make a very high-risk investment. Avid has announced loss after loss for 5 quarters, I believe. The Avid promoters want you to believe that their troubles are behind them and that it will become very profitable soon. I say, fine, show me the money. You'll have plenty of time to get in if Avid starts to earn a decent profit.

There are many other technical and marketplace issues to be concerned with as well. I have posted many times on Avid in the past, so check past posts here and on AOL. Motley Fool did a "daily pitch" back in August of last year on Avid, and I correctly argued that Avid was headed below $14, not back up to $20.
