"White House to Urge New Rules for Hedge Funds" This is very likely a good indication that something with hedge funds (LTCM?) is about to blow up in the administrations face with the congressional investigations. The administration uses this tactic of proposing legislation after the horse is out of the barn in order to distance itself from scandals on which it has advanced warning. Remember when it did the same thing when the illegal contributions to the NDC when the information of illegal activity could no longer be suppressed? John, thanks for being on top of the news.
