Re: CTXS Comparison

Mike,
Hope we don't get too far off track here, but I was a Q investor six years ago and I remember it took about 5-1/2 years of struggling for them finally start to dominate. CDMA is somewhat similar to ICA.

Q worked hard to get others to adopt the CDMA standard. CTXS appears to be doing the same thing with ICA.

Q's success depended upon adoption by others. They would never be in the position they are now if Jacobs didn't make this his 5-1/2 year struggle(and he had people throwing rocks at him along the way). CTXS depends upon adoption by others too(with very little rock throwing). I'm guessing this is where a lot of that mystery $400 million may be spent.

Q had competition along the way from established players, TDMA and GSM. But neither was quite as good. ICA has competitors and they are not quite as good either.

I could go on with comparisons, and of course there are interesting differences too. But maybe we are getting a little off topic. Just wanted to let you know that IMHO CTXS is a risky venture, facing similar obstacles to what Q did. But success, IF it comes, will have big rewards. "IF," being the key word.
All just IMHO too,
MikeM(From Florida)
