Taby, I held 2 companies(Frame Tech & Media Logic) where shareholder class action suits were won. The lawyers get roughly 1/3 plus expenses and it took about on avg. 1 1/2 years. Typically I received 1-3%. Another one was Storage Technology,that lasted almost 3 years and the suit was lost. I wouldn't count on much if anything. However, if the suit is won, assuming you became part of the class action, you would received compensation regardless if you sold the stock or still hold. I hope this helps.
