When we engage in public exchange of ideas, we have to evolve with circumstantial evidence. Of course, some may say I am without principle. Principle and rigidity are separated by a thin fine line; so is open mindedness and slick opportunism. If we stuck to our beliefs regardless, the earth would still be flat.
I may sound noble, but deep down I am a vulgar uneducated person. However, I certainly hope I can manage to have a moment of truthfulness, as I wish the same to you and everyone else.
Incidentally, if we are to reread yesterday NYT article on Lee, even the authors were careful not to draw a hard and fast conclusion, which is a rarety in today prescriptive journalism
