The comparisons between Japan and US crime enforcement are considerably different. Japan has considerably stricter drug laws. Japanese police are much more easily accessible than the police here. They are usually within walking distance. They are also more often found patrolling the community on foot and inquiring about the neighbors. I've lived in Japan for 10 years, and there is no comparison between the safety there and here, and the trust between the public and the police there as opposed to here. Try as you might, your statistics are useless without context. And with context, they are even more useless.

Keep flailing away, Daniel.
