Sam,

If we ever have a real bear market I wouldn't be surprised to see market forces do away with the NASD system as stocks deserving liquidity flee to big board. I'm told that at one point during the 87 crash, brokers simply didn't answer the phones because they knew it would be a retail customer trying to sell stock the MM did *NOT* want to buy.

Trying not to get you started, but my company's market cap moves by many billions one direction one day, only to give it all up the next, and I've been fed up with NASD for awhile.

In the case of VERT, I figure the MM's look at the price history and figure there's too much risk taking a position unless there getting paid a lot to do so. But if I wanted to trade options, I'd call the CBOE, not NASD, so criminal is close enough in my book.

Regards,

-- Robert
