MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 1999--On May 1, 1999,
network affiliates in the nation's top-10 markets will begin
broadcasting digital television (DTV), as required by the Federal
Communications Commission.
Although a number of stations are already transmitting DTV
signals, Saturday marks the official beginning of the FCC-mandated
conversion to digital broadcasting.
