Ah, what can I say? The spirit of Beltane is upon me. I have realized that to restrict my charms to only one lady is both selfish and definitely NOT in the spirit of Beltane. "He loves best who loves most." But did you not notice that your name came FIRST in the list of ladies? That is because you are indeed first in my heart. [sotto voce aside to other ladies: actually, you are all really first in my heart, which exhausted itself in love for E but has now recovered and is ready for fresh adventures, but don't let on to E.] I love thee so much that I must proclaim to all the other ladies on this thread how much I adore thee. Must proclaim it in private, quiet places, off within the dappled shade of the beech wood.
