Davox Signs Overseas Distribution Agreement with DATA DPS; Singapore Firm
Selling Concerto and Other Products Throughout Much of Far East

Business/Technology Editors

WESTFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 1999--Davox
Corporation (NASDAQ:DAVX), a leading developer of call center
management software, will see its Concerto(tm) inbound calling
products and other offerings distributed more widely across the Far
East, thanks to a recently inked agreement with Singapore-based DATA
DPS.
"Davox's products complement our product line and our
strategies," said Mr. Teo Hock Boon, Group General Manager of DATA
DPS, explaining the DATA DPS decision to distribute Davox's
forward-thinking customer contact solutions. "We are excited to be
distributing all the Davox products, including Concerto(tm),
Unison(R), LYRICall(tm), and others. We have found that Davox
technology and value clearly work for our customers, and we anticipate
even further success attending the launch of the Ensemble(tm) product
line."
The new distribution agreement allows DATA DPS to bolster its
strategy of broadening its computer telephony core competency, as the
firm continues to carve out a chunk of the market dominated by large
companies like IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Rockwell Telecommunications.
Since its inception in 1989, DATA DPS has been in the
telecommunications business as a system integrator for Lucent
Technologies in Asia. The company has previous experience with the
Concerto Sixth Sense(R) and SmartRoute(tm) applications, though its
recent decision to opt for the Unison product, as well, positions DATA
DPS to take full advantage of Ensemble's advent.
"We are extremely pleased by the prospect of offering Davox
technology as a tool to help DATA DPS increase its stake in the
rapidly growing Asian customer contact market," said Davox's Vice
President of International Operations Douglas Smith. "Davox's
industry-leading technology is an ideal fit with the bold marketing
and distribution vision of DATA DPS, and we look forward to a healthy,
prosperous, and enduring business relationship."
DATA DPS is distributing the Davox products in Singapore,
Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. In the past, DATA DPS
has worked with Lucent distributors to implement Concerto products in
the region, as well as in China.
