Jerry,

Thanks to put the requested charts on your homepage in such a short
time.

You might think that Intel is still solid in fundamental. No, it is not! Intel is in hi-tech business with 126 billion market cap. Have you ever thought why Intel hid 2 units of refrigerators under the table to overclock the hand-selected Pentium II to 400 Mhz for technology achievement demo in a formal industry meeting?

If not complained by other members and consider this behavior as
cheating, not all the press have been properly informed about these 2 3-tons refrigerators. Obviously, Intel tried to cheat the public with a false impression towards their today's technology level. Rod has been hyped that Intel could produce 400Mhz Pentium II very soon (based on his belief that Intel demo a Pentium II 400Mhz). Rod is the exact example that he was cheated by Intel. Even worse, Rod has been using the event to brain-washer the readers of this thread how great Intel is.

There was another report that HP is actually taking greater responsibility in designing the P7; while Intel will be responsible for marketing. Why could not a 126 billion GREAT Corp. develop their own next MPU and has to share the future income and profit with another company? There is something serious wrong deep inside.

Have you noticed that Andy Grove tried to draw industry attention on how fast clock speed that Intel could achieve by 2000 to avoid the
discussion on how Intel could design a more efficient MPU?

Aren't there good indications that Intel encounters x86 technology problems? Intel businesses and profits are based on their technology. If their technology is inferior to Cyrix or AMD, INTC should not exceed twice of the current book value ($16.86).
