But no, what we see now is a relatively new phenomenon coinciding with the revisionist relative moralism and values demonization imposed by the left over the last 30 or so years.

I'd guess you know the source. It all looks pretty constant, all that moral relativism of the Reagan years. I don't know what older statistics would look like.

Maybe you or Michael could explain what, exactly, Japan, Canada, and Great Britain have in common that explains their relatively low rates, compared to ours. Aside from the obvious.
