To All:

I'm absolutely astounded! Who are these idiots selling off AMAT down into the high 40s in the face of the start of an industry up cycle, an earnings announcement and conference call on May 18 that promises to be very positive, and the fast approaching summer months when year 2000 earnings (which no one disputes should be excellent) will start to be fully factored into the share price?

A couple times a year with this stock we see senseless irrational sell-offs that create unbelievable buying opportunities. That is precisely what we are seeing now. For God's sake, there's now a 25% short term gain to be had in this stock before it even meaningfully resumes its upward move past $100.

Rest assured, the same big institutions that stupidly engaged in a panic sell-off over the past few days will be pig-piling back in in the mid-$70s sometime this summer.
