Mike, I lifted the following from the Citrix Site.
From my scarce knowledge of this, I would believe that Citrix
will enable the implementation of a concept which George Gilder
wrote about a few years back.
IE Virtually all large applications will be run on "application
servers" which may be at any remote location(s).
The user will be at a "thin client/ dumb terminal" and be completely unaware that he/she is not connected to a local area network;
or for that matter, that the application is not running in his/her
own machine.
Of course, other servers, located anywhere, will serve as data
sources or depositories.
BTW I bought into CTXS this week.
