Ron;

You had asked some other questions in your earlier posts. I will attempt to answer them.

What exactly is this halo. Is it associated with valcanos, magma that flows down the mountain, is it connected in some way to a caldra?

Since volcanoes have the same driving forces behind them, yes they can be associated with volcanoes. It is more likely that the magma body involved in the formation of the halos is an upwelling of magma under the crust. It could be that the magma is in close proximity to a volcanoe and has connectivity with the volcanoes vent system.

Is it at the top or the bottom of a mountain, or is it somewhere else?

The magma would have to be subterranian and not at the top of a volcanoe.

So let me ask you. If the halo is as you say and I'm not questioning your knowledge but am asking you a question. If the halo is as you say and I was told that there was alot of alluvial gold present, are we saying that there is/or could we say that the alluvial gold is present and visual?

Te presence of alluvial gold is probably a good sign. That suggests that the gold has been concentrateed to the point that they could find possibly nuggets.

And if so could we then conclude that this is a very good sign?

You sound like you are or have been exposed to the geology subject and are quite knowledgeable. Is my assessment of you correct?

Yes, I am a geologist.

So if one was to tell you that it is 800x1000 could we say that it is quite large?

This seems to be a decent size of halo. Don't know for sure. I believe that this is fairly large compared to other halos found.

Hope the information is of some help.

Good fortunes

Matt
