If i was a legislator, I would have walked out too.
See what I mean? He was right on in his prayer. In the name of politics and "getting along" we ignore God, except that is, when it is convenient for us not to!! I don't care if the pope was there, should this man have chosen any other path than the one he did, he would not be true to God or himself, so see even you cannot say all is fair and to each his own, cause when this man did his own, you walked out and protested!!
Sort of like abortions, you want prayer to be rare and safe huh???
