MikeM....CTXS is not the enemy of INTC or CPQ or DELL,,etc The whole concept of server based processing that CTXS build is growing ,,,that's why MSFT stepped in and regained control from CTXS and licensed the CTXS built features. CTXS still sells add on features to go with MSFT Terminal server NT 4.0 and still sells NT3.51 CTXS ....ICS, Metaframe and load balance are all sold by CTXS. The faster an organization can get a functional application up and running and accessable to it's user base the more productive an organization can be. Server based applications avoid alot of distribution issues, delays to get a new version inplace on a fat client PC. True you don't have to buy new PC's and big fat PC's to run all these applications. But the end user will migrate to newer PC's over time for other reasons...new features, lighter laptops with better screens,etc etc. Besides servers are more profitable to sell than PC's ...and they can be replaced more frequently, you get the benifit of faster servers better performance for the end user on their current PC /Laptop. Xeon power today ....64 bit servers next from INTC ...megahertz speed now and gigahertz speed on the way ....just send those screen images to and from the end user machine to the server. Today's PC's and laptops ....tommorows internet wireless smart appliance as well as Pc's and laptops.... CTXS is a friend of INTC to expand the use of computer devices.
