Yep, the record musky was caught there. I spent 6 weeks there around 19 and 60 on a 48' Chris Craft. Mopped the deck every morning. The boat in the next stall was owned by Honeywell and had a kid my age aboard, the son of the CEO. We had a ball together. This was in Alexandria Bay New York. Took his 75 footer out, well the captain did and went fishing. First time I had a coke served on a silver platter.

My father dunked the hot charcoal in the water to douse it and the steam burned his hand. I yelled to get some ice water but I was 12 and they used butter instead. The next day the doc said you should have used cold water and you wouldn't have a giant blister on the end of your arm.

I got to ride in the pilot boat. They have different pilots for each section of the seaway. That was neat.
