Very good question (and my last post of the evening). I think it's safe to say EDIG would report it given that they are a reporting company and the fact that it would only make EDIG stock look nicer. Secondly, I think the company who owns the 5% itself would have to file it's ownership claim. Surely a publicly traded, reporting company such as Intel/IBM/Lucent would also have to report under it's own corporate files (besides those filings of the company being bought into/sold out of).
