New to unph: while checking out old news and financials, I ran across this paragraph: <<Results for the fourth quarter of 1998 include pretax charges of $113.6 million primarily for the acquisition and integration of UNL, commencement of 1310nm cable television transmitter production, reorganization of the Company's worldwide sales and management structure, and restructuring related to the Company's Ultrapointe division. Charges for the acquisition and integration of UNL included a charge of $93.0 million for acquired in-process R&D. >> What is UNL? Was this a beneficial move for unph? I guess I just need some help with some basics. The overall concept of this company is excellent.
