I've been hit before, but with options you can't get hit as hard. In fact this morning after selling WCOM I was toying with picking up the puts, turns out that if I had, the gain in the puts at the close would have outweighted the loss in the calls (at the time of the sell in the morning). Because of this I'm going to try a few straddles next time. Just 5 contracts each for a while.

I have done the same when the topping is more pronounced, but lately it had been tricky to say the least... who woulda thunk that RNWK, NITE, & NTBK were not quite done... the charts get real fuzzy when it's been running up there for quite a while...

This time I'm riding GNET for all it's worth... it's been languishing for a while and it can run a few days as we've already seen...

There's something in my investing that I need to fix because it's been weighing down my portfolio... I need to keep in mind that the value investing model does not work with Net stocks. From now on I decided to keep the value investment relegated to my LT account and not my trading account... it's not mentally stimulating to watch stocks like USWB get beaten up day in and day out. <g>

Tomorrow should be a better day...

Best,
SF
