I was told by an OLDE representative that if you voluntarily sold your shares (and I guess this includes tendering them) that a commission would be charged. However, if you were forced to surrender no commission would be charged. And yes, the forced to surrender condition would likely mean you'd be in a different line to be paid than those who tendered, and thusly paid later. How much later I don't know. I don't know if this policy is just restricted to OLDE. Each brokerage may handle it differently.
