Mirage Resorts' Barry Shier to Address Attendees at Southern Gaming Summit

BILOXI, Miss., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Barry Shier, the Chairman and CEO of Beau Rivage Resorts, a division of Mirage Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MIR), will address the attendees of the Southern Gaming Summit at the "Taste of the Gulf Coast Casinos" Keynote Dinner on the evening of May 5. Shier is expected to describe how his company, along with others in the region, expect the Beau Rivage Casino Resort to transform the Gulf Coast into a destination resort.
The Southern Gaming Summit, scheduled for May 5 and 6, 1999 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center, is produced by the Mississippi Casino Operators Association and Casino Journal Publishing Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CJPG).
The Beau Rivage mid-March debut in Biloxi has spurred a remarkable market growth for the Gulf Coast, and elevated the resort to the next tier of gaming destinations. Shier has been with Mirage for more than 15 years, and is considered one of the brightest talents in this executive-rich company. In addition to his role with Golden Nugget, Shier is the President and CE0 of Golden Nugget Inc., and executive vice president of marketing and hotel operations for Mirage Resorts.
