How about 2.7B of acquisitions in the last 3 weeks? But it won't hurt their earnings - it was all done with >125 p/e stock; a little dilutive, but they seem to have institutionalized accretive acquisitions.

There have always been challengers with better technology or much lower cost to csco's hardware. What you need to appreciate is that csco is really a software company that sells hardware - or as I picked up from DownSouth recently, a tin dipped software company. IOS is as pervasive in the networking arena as Windows is in desktop computing, and csco uses it to leverage their hardware sales. That's why their gross margins (>65%) and market share are so obscene.

Morgan, Cisco's Gorillahood is derived from their software, not their routers and switches.

I'm very long on csco and sleeping like a baby <g>
