As I lurk here reading these posts I amreminded of the DELL thead when the trend was changing and they said we were nuts for saying it would see the thirties ( it was in the high 40s after dropping from 55 area). The a poster stated >>EMC is completely misunderstood<< Tell that to the KEA thread as you read through it over the last 9 months. I traded that one for years. Guess what? It has a growth rate faster than that of EMC, about 38% and no it is not a Y2K stock. It went from a PE ratio of 80+ to a PE of 13 and has just recently bounced to a whopping PE of 16.

I like EMC, I think it is a great company, but a chart is a chart and they speak volumes. I am not sure if the trend has definitely turned down yet but I know it isn't up right now. EMC has sold off more here than it did percentage wise in the October 97 correction. The only bright spot I see is that the high volume that was here last week has since returned to normal volume. I would watch closely to see if 100 holds. Anything much below that should be a warning shot that the bounce back up may be longer coming than you expect.

Not trying to cause trouble. My kids have a half position that I should have sold but I figure they have 16 years to wait for a bounce so I will see how this acts over the next week or so and decide then what to do.

Good Luck,

Lee
