There was a rumor that the 7110 would be pushed into autumn. As far as I know, it's on track to reach six number volumes in June.

Dave - the Japanese and Nordic companies have been developing W-CDMA for years now, in collaboration with NTT-Docomo, the first operator to launch the standard. As far as I know Qualcomm is not a founding partner of any of the numerous W-CDMA collaborations in Asia or Europe. They pushed cdma2000 as strongly as they could. Didn't they question the success of W-CDMA just a couple of months ago? How do you morph from a W-CDMA sceptic into a pivotal W-CDMA player in a matter of weeks? I thought that success in the 3G market demanded years of focused R&D.
