You should be using the Signal product, not Stockedge. I get NYSE,AMEX,Naz level 2, and OPRA. It always helps to get a glimpse of the specialist's book. A lot of times this can help to catch a move. Bot BGF yesterday @ 34 3/16 when market showed size of 500(50000) to buy @ 34 and 5(500) offered @ 34 1/4. Specialist then moved B/A to 1/16 by 5/16, on a system that doesn't monitor B/A by time and sales and exchange you wouldn't see that buyer for long. Took a shot and got a buy in the middle. I don't know if there is a feature to monitor total buys or sells, my suggestion would be to ask Jeff. Traded BEAM yesterday, bot @ 16 1/16 and sold @ 15 7/8, got totaly faked out. After sell, stock went to 16 5/8, then the boom was lowered and it dropped like a rock to 14 before bouncing back, talk about the Fake before the Break, it was a classic. I still have a lot to learn about reading level 2, but am keeping my stops a lot tighter.
One of the things that I also watch is how the blocks of over 10k shares are trading. A constant buy bias on the upside of size can possibly skew the data of total number of buys or sells as IMHO its more important to see what the big boyz are doing as compared to the intraday noise of the smaller players. So much to see and learn and so many opportunities makes the Great Game so much fun. Tell Jeff that you want Signal.
