Re: CTXS and Java

Thread,
It would be interesting to know, how Java technology works in the Citrix model? Citrix did buy a Java based company called, APM. Citrix is developing an application server for Java compatible with Citrix software. I'm real curious as to how it is going to work. Will the Java applet continue to get sent down the pipe for processing on the client, or does the applet get processed on the server and the good old screen refreshes only take place on the client?

An an even better question is, can programs specifically developed using Java technology, like Oracle8i, run on Citrix's MetaFrame?

Can any Citrix experts help out?
Thanks,
MikeM(From Florida)
