Re selling at the close...that is a rule of thumb for daytraders. If I feel strongly that a stock will gap then I always sell at the open. Gappers tend to dip after the open then, if they still have life in them, start moving up again. Sometimes I'll buy it back again if it looks strong. (I guess Watley traders have different restrictions in this regard...not sure)
