The Vancouver Sun says in its Friday edition that investors are "catching
the Infowave" for software solutions. Smart Money columnist Barbara
Aarsteinsen says that with record sales in the first quarter and as many
orders booked during the past three months as it shipped in all of 1998,
Infowave Wireless Messaging has set the table for growth for the rest of
the year, according to chief financial officer Todd Carter. Mr. Carter says
management is excited to have Infowave positioned where it is. He says that
a lot of major players are starting to recognize what Infowave has to
offer, and the company is at the point where it has a lot of value to add.
Mr. Carter says that management definitely expects its imaging division to
continue to be profitable, with significant year-over-year growth. He says
that on the wireless side, the focus is not on the bottom line but on
attracting strategic partners, customers and revenues. Mr. Carter says that
Infowave's sales are growing faster than Apple's business and Infowave is
defying seasonality.
