VIC: OK, I did a bunch of checking, talking etc. This is what I've got, and lets get it straight:
There are four stations in New York to watch local regional baseball-excluding ESPN coverage.
1. New York Mets: FOX Sports New York -Local Listings:Cable WB11- Channel 11 to all: Over the Air
2. New York Yankees: MSG Network: Check local listings: Cable Fox 5- Channel 5 to all: Over the Air
All are produced under the MSG Umbrella.
FSN national games do not appear on MSG, they appear on the FOX Sports NY Channel: Cable the same channel that airs the New York Mets on Cable.
MSG has no control over FSN usage of QuesTec Technology. If QuesTec is part of the game being produced by FSN, it goes on Air.
Mets and Yankees are both cabled, and FSN produced a National game from Yankee Stadium two weeks ago Thursday. The rest of the country saw FSN production with Tim McCarver and NY had to settle for MSG.
QuesTec has over 2,800 shareholders, they all do not live in New York. Being on Air in NY is not what makes this company's stock move, building value and firm relationships with major networks, having proven technology that works and offers commentators new tools and features that inform and educate their viewing audience, and installing systems with properly trained operators for all home and away productions will.
Go QuesTec, keep up the good work. Slow and Steady wins the race.. |
