The CBS Marketwatch article mentions the stronger-than-expected GDP and the inflation number. They're also expecting next quarter to be strong. The weak ECI number reported yesterday may be an aberration due to the seasonal slowdown in home sales in late Winter and the lower RE commissions --- housing sales rebounded this week after 3 straight slower reports. So, they're expecting ECI to be higher next quarter. (If the Dow can sell off below 10,720, it will fall back inside its 28-week MA weekly AIQ trading band after trading four days above --- perhaps time for regression to the mean).
