If someone is short in this stock they are not going to cover immediately. They will hold back looking for some solid weakness. Besides that who is to say that they are not covering right now, just not in large quantities. They would not want to drive the price up. If you were going to by a ton of shares in a company wouldn't you take your time as long as you felt that you had time, so as to not drive the price up as you bought? They may have even been covering for the last couple of weeks and that is possibly one reason why there has already been some very positive price movement. Just speculation!! I would guess though that at some point and time they would have to do whatever they have to to cover the balance of whatever they are short. I do not short stocks and do not know how this works so please don't take my comments as being anything other than opinion. I will say that I owned a stock that went through a short squeeze once and there was a substantial upward price move in a very short period of time so I know that it can happen. Errick
