Update on Shannon:

I wanted to update all of my brothers and sisters in prayer about the young woman named Shannon whom I requested prayer for several months ago. To remind you, she is 29 years old and on the day she found out she was pregnant she had an ultra sound and the doctors discovered she had cancer. She had cancer surgery and the cancer was diagnosed as melanoma. As Shalom knows, absent a miracle of the Lord, the chances of curing melanoma are rather slim. Because pregnancy is incompatible with life for a woman who is suffering from melanoma, the doctors set up a date to terminate her pregnancy.

--Intervene now with prayers--

Shannon refused to go through with the termination and insisted that her pathology be sent to a pathologist in Texas (I'm not exactly sure where but they are supposed to be the top in the country, perhaps you know, Shalom). Praise his name, the results came back that the cancer was not melanoma but a much more benign form of cancer for which she is now being treated. Her prognosis is outstanding with a very, very good chance of a complete recovery. She just reported that she has learned that her baby is a boy and she is praising the Lord daily -- so am I and many other Christians that know about this remarkable case.
