LG, rates and inflation (or the fear thereof) are without doubt the biggest dangers to this extended market. but the market can survive a rise in rates for a while due to the fact that incipient inflationary pressures also provide an increase in companies' pricing power - hence the recent strength in the cyclicals. so for a time the market may focus on earnings instead of rates, but ultimately that's a losing battle. liquidity will always be the the most important factor in determining the market's direction. regards, hb
