Daniel---As I have said, I will leave it to others to argue about guns, except to note that there will remain a substantial black market even if guns become far less accessible, and that criminalization did not stop the price of cocaine from dropping precipitously in the last 20 years... I agree that parents and "mediating institutions" have primary responsibility for inculcating values. I just think that the government should support rather than undermine their efforts...
