I feel this is a classic day . The DOW is down 132 as I write this. The REIT index is up .66 %. Treasuries are getting slammed !! Why classic.? REIT's tend to perform best in the 6 to 18 months after interest rates rise, when the economy is overheating and there is a wiff of inflation in the air. Taking the negative of higher interest rates and the positive of possible increases in underlying asset values the underlying asset values are weighted much heavier. Possible recovery in asia-- a real positive also..hang on tight I look for the ^rms index to break 315 and move to 325 , very soon....
