OK...Grasshopper (me) is going to try to snatch the pearl out of the master's hand (you) <G> I know we have differing views on rates, but I enjoy the debate... U.S. economy slowing: well, I DO include exports, since the export "economy" is an important part of the overall economy...We have seen (overall) growth slow from 6%+ in Q4 '98, to 4.5% in Q1 '99, to 3%+ next quarter..Still good, but slowing nonetheless.. Are you predicting that the U.S. economy will grow FASTER than 4.5% in Q 2? Have heard that domestic spending slowed down in April...I expect we will not see the torrid rate that we saw in Q4 and Q1...If tech/net stocks continue to stall for another month or so....that will probably put downward pressure on growth... Ah..its Friday....I'm going leave it at that....have a great weekend Lee...and yes, Maddux is doing gooood (makes up for Glavine...what's up with him?)
