Global Election Systems Inc. announces a (US)$1.9 million voting system sale to El Paso County, Colorado (Colorado Springs). The sale, which was approved April 29, 1999 by the El Paso County Commission, was for a blended system comprised of AccuVote (optical scan) tabulators for election day voting, and AccuVote-TS (touch screen) for early voting. Global won the contract in a competitive sales environment, and after a comprehensive evaluation process. Global will deliver the system during the current quarter.
