AAPL would like to buy PALM from 3Com.
3Com is under all sorts of takeover speculations. One rumored suitor is INTEL. I can't see intel selling PalmPilots, buying the cute little 68000ish processors from MOT! So, maybe they spin Palm to Apple. This is all total BS, by the way.
This is a worthy move to cover Newton (rip), gets Apple in the corporate game, and lord knows Claris can write code for 68000 class machines. They must have vaults full of code, and rusty old programmers out back up on cinderblocks, leaking Jolt cola.
Anyway, Apple would probably also like to acquire more MP3 technology to maintain QT lead. So, you just never know.
