Bill + Mike,

There are so many contenders in this race I'm having a tough time making up my mind. Price will determine the bet. The other problem is that many of them are very lightly raced. That's not the Derby winner profile.

My gut is leaning towards Prime Timber as the most likely winner, but I don't think I'm going to get the price I want to make a bet.

I think Menifee has the most ability but is slightly suspect at 1 1/4 on his pedigree. I don't think I'm going to get the price I want to make a bet and he has only 5 races.

General Challenge ran a big SA Derby and is a definite threat but that was his best by far and he has only 5 races. I like more experience. I don't think I'm going to get the price I want to make a bet.

Vicar is interesting because he has the profile I like, but I will insist on a big price before taking him. I might get it.

I think Stephen Got Even is better than generally believed and I would be very interested at a price. His negative is a lack of experience. That's something that has been important historically. He has only 4 races!

The fillies have a lot of ability but I'll let them beat me if they can. They do have the perfect profile though of lots of seasoning.

Cat Thief always fires but rarely gets the job done. He's a threat, especially for the exotics, but not with my money except underneath maybe. He has the perfect profile.

Charismatic is improving and not impossible.

Adonis beat a weak Wood field. The time was impressive, but I'll pass.

I pass on the imports. Let them beat me.

Desert Hero has ability but is too lightly raced for me.

First American is not impossible.

I don't know what to make of Valhol so I pass.
