Hi CB, I didn't know they inside workings of the dems. I agree that it's not working for the Republicans. Every election they fawn over and court the vote of the religious right because they can't win without it. But then they walk away after the election. Just dirty politics. The pro-life plank of the Republican Party is under attack and may fall. But if it does then what defines the republicans? They are just a bunch of tight wads then, aren't they. Without a moral leg to stand on. At least the dems have the compassion for the poor issue to wave around as a flag even if they do endorse the most hideous holocaust in history! I looked into the Libertarian Party a long time ago. I learned about them from seeing interviews on C-Span and sent for some information. It was their drug and abortion stand I couldn't stomach, even though I really liked their other issues. They will never be a major party for several reasons but one is that they split the issues in such a way that there are not many people who think the same way. SR
